Eat & Drink
The William Cecil is closed at the moment during the current restrictions, but when we are open we offer local, fresh, simple and seasonal food and a small but perfectly formed wine list. No tail coats, starch or presumption. Our restaurant is open for dinner for residents and non-residents alike. This is on a reservation only basis and we may ask non-residents to pre-order.
Our lovely bar, restaurant and, weather permitting, our outside terrace tables are also open for lunch. It is strongly advisable to make a reservation, but we are open to ‘walk-in’ customers, subject to availability. Please call us on 01780 750070 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make a reservation.
We also serve teas & coffees in the conservatory, bar and outside terrace (no reservation required).
Please note that due to the updated government guidelines, we are only able to take tables of up to 6 guests. Our bar and restaurant will also close by 11pm. We ask that non-residents to have vacated the premises and residents to retire to their bedrooms by 11pm.
For your safety, all tables are a suitable distance apart, menus are available on single use only, digitally or on blackboards, and contact with your server is kept to an absolute minimum at all times. We respectfully ask that all our guests arrive promptly at their reservation time. We must politely request that all guests wear face coverings whilst on our premises in all public areas and to only remove your mask when sitting at a table to eat or drink.
Meal times are:
Afternoon Tea 2.30-5.30pm
Picnics are available to take away but must be pre booked.
